God’s Word compels us

Matthew 28:18–20 (ESV)

And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”

Acts 2:42–47 (ESV)

And they devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers. And awe came upon every soul, and many wonders and signs were being done through the apostles. And all who believed were together and had all things in common. And they were selling their possessions and belongings and distributing the proceeds to all, as any had need. And day by day, attending the temple together and breaking bread in their homes, they received their food with glad and generous hearts, praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to their number day by day those who were being saved.

John 13:34–35 (ESV)

A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”

Our Mission explained:

We want the worship of God to be the central focus of our ministry, so that the Lord will be the central focus of our daily lives. The worship of God is not limited to singing alone. Every aspect of our service from the teaching of God’s Word, the prayer time as we lift our requests and praises to Him, to the giving our tithes and offerings, encompass our worship of God through the power of the Holy Spirit.

John 4:23–24 (ESV)

But the hour is coming, and is now here, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father is seeking such people to worship him. God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth.” The Word of God is central to our lives and ministry. It is the focal point of the Sunday morning worship time, and central to purpose of our small group times as we seek to grow disciples. Small groups are great place to come together to study the Word together, fellowship together and to encourage each other’s faith.

Colossians 3:16 (ESV)

Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God.

To function well as a body, we need each person serving in their giftedness to meet our fullest potential. Serving together, lightens the load and brings glory to God.

1 Peter 4:10 (ESV)

As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God’s varied grace: We are committed to spreading the life changing message of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
